Best 10 bucks I ever spent.
I second that. It's like a bloody expansion pack!

Re: The Top 20 Cartoon Series of All Time

I find it hard enough to remember which cartoons I spent a lot of time watching, let alone which ones should be considered great now. Same here, big time. I vaguely remember definitely watching television , which by extension must have meant cartoons, but I can't for the life of me remember which o...

Re: The Big Steam Thread

ey, big ol' Steam Greenlight sale. Neat. Cool. Any games you'd recommend or warn against? Gnomoria is pretty great! Think a Dwarf Fortress with less stuff but easier to play. It... can get old after a dozen hours or so, and it's entirely possible you won't like it to begin with, but I recommend it ...

Re: The Big Steam Thread

Is a coupon for 90% off Left 4 Dead 2 a thing that anyone might even slightly want? I have no interest in the game whatsoever. By any chance does it say it's valid for sales too? Because if so, I want it! I don't have L4D2 yet, but... even at €2, I'm not sure it's worth it. I wasn't a big fan of L4...

Worms 4 Mayhem? Oh, what's it like living in the past, neeeerds! All us cool kids play Worms Ultimate Mayhem! It's... it's basically the same game, but a little bit better.

But still better!

Re: General Videogame Gabbin' 2: Word Beginning With R

Okay, as you might know I'm a big Pokémon fan. In particular, how well designed the games are, and how they can take concepts and designs that look intuitively ridiculous and make them work. So normally my response to "This is stupid" is "Just wait and see". But for once... http:...

Re: Let's make... the first ever Dream17 videogame

Incidentally, my own opinions on the genres: Adventure - Very big, particularly in the art department. You can't make a small adventure game, it's just never enough. RPG - Haha no. Platformer - Could work quite well... if someone can think of a concept for it. But generic platformers have been done ...

Re: Let's make... the first ever Dream17 videogame

Now apply that sort of thing to the entire game and I'm sure it won't be a complete nightmare to design and program! Programming it would be simple. Level design would be... Deus Ex-esque, I suppose. Difficult, but doable. It's making a feasible story that's the hard part. It'd mean coming up with ...

Re: Let's make... the first ever Dream17 videogame

Consider me intrigued. I'd offer to help, but unless it's a Strategy or FPS (neither of which are very likely), I don't think I could add much. Other than small ideas and such, obviously.

It's pretty much going to depend entirely on the artist(s) though.

Got a €2,000 yearly bonus today! Awesome! To put it in perspective, that'll pay for... about a decade of PC games.

Hm.

Does this count as being rich? It's not making all that much money, but I can get anything I want short of a new house!

That actually looks pretty great for a 2D mobile port of a 3D game! I'm quite impressed! Here's to hoping it doesn't suck though.

Y'know, like how mobile games notoriously do.

Guys. Guys. Internet Christmas! (I already have 219 unplayed games. I don't want to know what that figure will become in two weeks time.) I'm waiting for the complete Sonic bundle to go on sale. Since it now has All-Stars Racing Transformed, it's become worth the (really small as-is) price. I totall...

As to Unity, yes that is the plan. It's just SO EASY! It's frightening how simple Unity is to work with, and I'm going to be taking classes to further my knowledge. What's Unity like from the programming side? Particularly network programming? I'm wondering if it already has a system for things lik...
