Re: The 100% Unofficial Thread
I'll tentatively throw my name in the hat for that Risk of Rain copy, in case everyone else interested in it already has the game. I have some people on IRC who are quite into it and I've been meaning to get it for a while now, but whatever bundles it may have been in apparently managed to evade me ...

Re: It's been a long, long (long) time.
Back in 2008, on the 4.0 Facts page , it was stated that "it would not be ready this decade". This fact has since been crossed out as a result of that particular decade ending. Does this mean it now will definitely be ready this decade? Probably not. But it could happen! :P Part of the unc...

Re: It's been a long, long (long) time.
Is 4.x fandom or official rewrite? Well, Deadcode and CyberShadow did both start out as community folk, but I'd say at this point, considering they've been almost exclusively responsible for working on WA since 2002 and 2006 respectively, it's as official as we're going to get. And, more importantl...

Re: It's been a long, long (long) time.
The one thing that stands out for me is that T17 missed opportunities to bake player modes into WA without actually revamping the game core/functionality/weapons/etc. Forts, ropers, etc. and rules around them could all be programmed in; that is the one thing you need added - would save the trouble ...

Re: It's been a long, long (long) time.
The Timeshock! table (and potentially the rest of the Pro Pinball series) ought to be enough for anybody. :P By the way Nutter, terrible news. Team17 recently attempted to replace you, again. I posted a summary thread about it on the TUS forums and in case my dramatic tone managed to pique your inte...

Teleglitch gets its sound effects from some kind of a free online repository and they pulled it off really well. Might be a path worth pursuing if you can figure out what precisely they used and how they were able to get it all to sound so coherent.

Re: Worms Armageddon Main Menu HD
The way it is in the game, it's annoying because of both the artifacts and the stupid grin. In your second attempt, it's quite a bit less annoying because the artifacts are gone, so I can live with the stupid grin. And we're pretending your first attempt never happened.

Re: Worms Armageddon Main Menu HD
Looks kind of nice, though I think I'd personally prefer a simple vectorisation of the current frontend art to something this much "improved" in my 4.x. Except for maybe the floating stars in the background, I never liked how flat they looked. Perhaps a hint of 3D might be an improvement f...

T17 haven't as much as come into contact with an old WA roper since... well, since before said roper could legitimately call himself old.

Re: Worms Clan Wars
New additions include the Teleport Gun, a Portal-esque weapon allowing you to quickly move around the map. That sounds even more interesting. I wonder whether it works exactly like this . I'm thinking it'll probably be something like this , a bit like the translocator in Unreal Tournament. Would ce...

Re: Wormers we've lost contact with
I guess over the years I've become most attached to the sort of people who tend not to just up and disappear, so I still have ways of contacting many of my old buddies, even those who haven't really been around in ages. But some honourable mentions that haven't come up in the thread so far are certa...
