Newsworthy! :D
K^2 wrote:No idea why it would crash with the *. I'll try messing with it and see if I can replicate it.
I think that might actually have happened because of the second crash problem I described.

Mostly working rather well for me! Some problems/suggestions: This version of the program stops responding if I switch to another window and then switch back to it, or if I minimize and then restore it. It would be handy if the working directory was set to the location of the map specified in startu...

The best option is probably to have a virtual drive and keep W:A inserted.

Updated

Now you can choose to change the volume to a different level while the screensaver is running (100% is maximum Windows volume level, 0% is mute). Also added a preview button to the configuration screen, so you can preview the current settings before saving them.

Worms Autogaming: a screen saver for Worms: Armageddon

I've already posted this in the Team17 forum, but I figured it would be nice to have a thread about it here. I have created a screen saver which launches W:A replays. There's a number of configuration options. For example, it can play games randomly from your \Games\ folder, or you could specify a d...

Flag editor would probably be possible -- I expect they're all in a Xom file as TGA files. It shouldn't be too difficult to find all the addresses and wrte a programme that replaced a given flag with a new TGA. The others would probably be impractically difficult. They are not even in a xom, they'r...

Precisely. I was thinking of writing a tool that lets you add speech banks, but then I realized that it might cause some serious problems while playing on-line, and people will throw rotten tomatoes at me. Then again, it might just revert to the default soundbank like it does on W2/WA/WWP. I think ...

What would be great is a tool that lets you import and export custom schemes and weapons, so that you can download the schemes and weapons that people have exported and then plug them into your own SaveGame.xom

A utility that changes your team name and keeps your progress would be good too.

Our lord saviour to the rescue once again! :D

Can we add new soundbanks to the full game or does that require something else to be changed?

That is odd. I'll take a look at the code to see if there is a memory leak somewhere that might be causing that. I think it was my lack of understanding with using the thing that was causing it. I started with a new lattice, held P and pressed Up arrow to change the lattice to 1x1x2, but I let go o...

I haven't done much with it yet, but what I did find was that if I added a lattice it seemed to be infinitely tall. I tried a quick edit on a simple existing map instead, but still haven't got around to making something worth posting. :)

Is it possible to delete a lattice from the lattice tree?

If I manage to make anything worth seeing with this, I'll show it off. :P

I'm not too sure what kind of features and things would be useful since I don't know much about this stuff.

Naturally that was the first thing I clicked. :D But the password's not hashed or encrypted, and even if it was you can still view the link with javascript disabled.

I must admit that the thing I was looking forward to most with Worms3D was the map editor, but now... a part of me has died. So K^2's efforts are appreciated. :D

The W4 Xbox Demo is available for download thanks to our friend Dodgymat if anyone's interested.
