the machine makes a series of machine like noises, then spikes shoot out, stabbing you. you fall backwards and you drop all your other rings.

the company responsible for the old machine take it away to be thrown into a landfill site.

An electronic arm shoots out of the vending hole and grabs your palm. It attempts to read your fortune but abruptly cuts short after going into a description of a mysterious figure from the North, coughing and making excuses about the sight not being clear at this time.

nothing happens. you kick the machine. the machine starts to rock backwards and forwards, only to fall onto you. a team of service men appear an hour later to pick the machine up and scrape you off the floor.

The machine starts playing a snazzy little tune. You quite like the tune, until you realise after about four minutes that it repeats every 45 seconds. And it seems to be stuck on permanent loop. It slowly starts to erode your brain, and you run off frantically looking for something to cleanse your mind with.

As a fan of Sonic music, of course, I am already immunised to its effects.

The black hole spits the machine back out and it disappears (the black hole, that is). You receive a clone of yourself, but the clone speaks Japanese.
