What happened to www.dream17.co.uk ???

Post by thomasp » Tue Oct 04, 2005 9:43 pm

http://www.dream17.com seems to go to a placeholder page...

Has it been unregistered for a specific reason, or has Ben just forgotten to renew the domain name?

The providers went down for a few hours. It's back now.

The same happened with BenPaddon.co.uk - UK Plc's network went down, possibly as a result of a MySQL update or something. It works fine now.

I should hope not. I don't own Dream17.com but I intend to buy it at some point in the near future.

dream17.com seems to be registered allready.
None of my projects (Minus One converter, W3D/W4 Map Viewer, and WMapEditor) are endorsed, supported or otherwise affiliated with Dream17. I just find Dream17 forums to be a nice place to share and discuss my work with others.

Sorry, I meant .co.uk.......

Anyway, I blame Cyclaws for all this - he must have broken something somewhere ;) :)

Do your worst, Cyclaws - you may have power over me here, but remember: I'm watching you

Edit:

Why did bro-ken get replaced with "BORK'D" - this forum's broken :p

Been like that for a while. Someone with access needs to go over the forum's censor list and rectify this. Untill then, you can probably use tags to bypass that. broken?

I added "BORK'D", as I like it.

Why stop at "broken"? Go all the way. Convert everything to 1337. Make "the" turn into "TEH", "you" into "U", etc. Make all the posts on the forum look like they have been written by 12 year olds.

Edit: I mean no offense. Just trying to make a point.

I like BORK'D. I draw the line at "TEH" and so on.

As an April Fool's joke, you should just totally mess around with the censor list and completely change the context of our posts :D

PHPBB dsoesn't put a note at the bottom of posts to say they've been edited or who by, so for April Fools I'll find an old thread no one care about anymore and change it entirely...

Now you've said that, it won't be a surprise any more.

It'll take some effort to top my Superfrog-for-Dreamcast joke though...

You know how much I'd love to give you a freaky status line, lock your post count at 0, edit your signiture and avatar every few days to things you wouldn't like, but this is the wrong forum to do it in. So I won't.

I didn't think you could edit other admin accounts anyway? Or is that a different script?
