I prefer Nvidia, just because I am used to them. You also see their logo on a lot of games.

Depends which generation of card.
In the DirectX 9.0a/9.0b generation, ATi all the way. The FX range of nVidia cards suck, to be plain, the cock. The ATi cards for the same price are MUCH better. Especially in pixel shader heavy games.
With the DirectX 9.0c generation, nVidia have actually made a decent card, like they did back in the day of the GeForce 3. It's very impressive. It's pretty much personal preference now - Some people say the nVidia GeForce 6 range is better because it has Pixel Shader 3.0 while the ATi equivelants only have 2.0, but hardly any games use 3.0, and those that use it heavily will lag the nVidia cards to hell because by the time heavy use of 3.0 comes out, the current nVidia cards will be old.

ATi's cards are just as stable.FW wrote:If you ask me which company I prefer, which you probably won't. It's more of a 50%/50% liking of both companies for me. I Like NVIDIA because of the easy stable ability from the cards, and I like ATI because their cards produce realistic quality.
The only real problem with ATi (assuming you're using it in Windows) is that their drivers sometimes have problems (I've experienced a few). Under Windows that's rare though.
(Under Linux, nVidia is far superior because the ATi Linux drivers suck ass compared to the nVidia ones).

Re:
Ah, the age-old topic concerning ATi/nVidia...
Personally, I use nVidia, mainly. It's a matter of personal preference. In terms of performance, there's no big difference.
Use whichever you prefer (and your budget allows), I'd say.
