Positive Events and Occurrences 3.0

Post by Xinos » Mon Jun 10, 2013 3:59 am

Despite the impending doom that's about to to consume T17F, it's important that we keep a positive attitude.
After all, it's the people and not the URL that makes a community, so having this forum up is pretty sweet.

How's your day been?

Successfully got a funky doodacky similar to this one installed in my heart. Reduces my chance of having a stroke that actually causes some symptoms, and might help my migraines as well. 8-)

Wow that looks like a tricky maneuver. Is it meant to stop blood from flowing through that channel or what?

Yes, the channel being a slight remnant of the hole in the heart which is meant to fuse closed at birth, a defect which about 25% of people have. Video doesn't show it, but it will heal over, and then no more blood can sneak through to the brain without being filtered by the lungs first.

I have a week off and a new Raspberry Pi.

Well something has to be done when the Negative thread is twice the length of this one!

It's because noone will give you sympathy when you are being positive! Unless you are using the opposite mobile phone platform to whomever chooses to respond if the topic is about phones.

What do you plan to do with your RPi?

Abuse a couple of floppy drives I have lying around.

The MIDI file format is a little more complicated than I'd like though...

I have one crying to the Tetris theme.
Not sure how I'll get two to work. Need to hook up another 4-pin to my PSU first.

Got a €2,000 yearly bonus today! Awesome! To put it in perspective, that'll pay for... about a decade of PC games.

Hm.

Does this count as being rich? It's not making all that much money, but I can get anything I want short of a new house!

I love how gaming computers have plateau'd to the point that your rig isn't any better than the one I sold a year ago (which was most recently upgraded a year before THAT)
