Good News, Everyone!
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 23/06/04 4:24pm CEST

Dream17 will receive a content update on Friday, if all goes according to plan. If it doesn't then it won't, but let's hope for the best, eh? A few things I have in the bag waiting to leap out are:

o An interview with Martyn "Spadge" Brown.
o More Softography+ updates and ADFs!
o A new section - "Dream17 Guides To...", the first installment of which is a Guide to Amiga Emulation.
o An online store! (Coming soon, but not that soon...!)

Isn't this exciting? I'm excited!

"Dude, do you still work here?"
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 17/06/04 11:24am CEST

The answer, of course, is "Yes". As I've already said, because my computer isn't able to get online it's rather difficult to make content updates. Rather than stick up little updates at a time I am currently working on a major content update which will probably get from my comptuer to the internet by way of CD-ROM first. I'll also try to get some more ADFs stuck up for future updates.

I am currently working on setting up a Dream17 Store where you will be able to purchase games for various systems as well as consoles to play them on. I'm also hoping to get reduced-price copies of Amiga Forever through a deal with Cloanto, but that's not finalised yet. I'll keep you posted.

Incidentally the latest version of WinUAE still refuses to let AB3D work despite a report I'd received via email claiming otherwise. I'll let you know what happens with that.

Alien Breed 3D working again
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 06/06/04 2:02pm CEST

While I haven't yet had a chance to test it for myself I have been informed that Alien Breed 3D should be working with the new release of WinUAE. It seems likely that the JIT bug fixed in the latest version was causing problems with AB3D and potentially AB3DII as well.

I noticed some minor graphical glitches with Worms - The Directors Cut in the previous version of WinUAE also. Hopefully this has also been fixed for the latest release.

No new updates for a while...
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 02/06/04 10:43am CEST

Well it seemed I was on a roll...

Due to some personal issues that have arisen there won't be many updates for a good month or so. I won't worry you guys with the problems of mine but... well, I'd like to draw your attention to the PayPal button up there...

I'll try to have some updates ready soon.
