Lemmings PSP in the Press
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 24/09/05 3:33pm CEST

Edge Magazine has this to say about Team17's work on Lemmings:

"It's hardly likely to resolve PSP's worsening indentity crisis, and frantic job-allocation via the analogue nub sounds like the stuff of nightmares, but Team 17's faithful adapation still has the original game's charm on its side. A level designer aims to strengthen that appeal, with downloadable content to come"

Remarkable.

So there we go.

Sensible Soccer '06!

Codemasters announce new Sensible Soccer to be released for major consoles/

While not, strictly speaking, Team17-related, is it relating to one of the other great independent developers of the 90s, Sensible Software, who were eaten by Codemasters in 2000. Glad to see that Codemasters are taking this fantastic franchise and doing something with it, although they seem perfectly content to sit on the "Dizzy" franchise...

Actually, these were released (on the Team17 site)last month to be exact, but as they haven't been linked to yet, here are some screenshots from the upcoming Lemmings-for-PSP title. From a quick glance, it looks as if Team17 have been recycling some of their old Worms settings too...

According to the Sci-Fi channel site...

"Majesco Entertainment Co. announced the fall release of Worms 4: Mayhem for the Xbox and PC. Developed by Team 17, the newest strategy game from the popular Worms series will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.99.

Worms 4: Mayhem promises new, innovative worm-versus-worm warfare. Good news for american Team17 fans, then.
