Team17 @ E3 2006
If you've read Team17's website, you'll know that Team17 attended this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo - E3 - in Los Angeles. Some of the visitors over at the Team17 Forum took this to mean that they were going to be showing something. Speculation was ripe - was it a new Worms title? Perhaps the long-touted sequel to SuperFrog fans have been waiting over a decade for? Or, dream of dreams, could it be the much covetted latest instalment in the Alien Breed franchise? Or is it something new? Team17 have said they're working on at least one new title for the Nintendo DS...
Alas, all was not as people thought. Team17 were not showing anything at E3, but were there in their capacity as a developer should any publishers take an interest in any of their work in development. E3 can be quite important for developers, particularly mid-sized developers like Team17 who are unable to publish titles themselves - it's a great opportunity to meet and greet reps from companies who might just be interested in publishing Super Ultimate Body Blows Galactic II: Danny Does Dallas, or their spinnach-themed Telesales Simulation game. Or something.
It's been a slow news week for us, really, hasn't it?
