Well I thought the problem was the spam comments on the site, but if your problem is the forum, how's this for a Dream17 CAPTCHA? A random Dream17 boxart is shown and the user has to type in the respective game title. Since every boxart has the game title but never in a constant pattern that a bot ...

There aren't a lot of people who can read a forum, but not CAPTCHA anyways. Do those people even play computer games? I don't see how they could. The problem with the CAPTHCA here is that it's (presumably, I haven't registered lately) the default PHPBB one or one of the more common mods. The proble...

Is this still being made in .NET? Because I'm pretty sure the text parsing routines can all be asked to override local settings with an overload.

None-.NET things can do that too, of course, but I know .NET languages do it very easily.

It's easy with a platformer. I've been working on a pool game on and off for a while, and I run collision detection physics at over 1kHz, and there are still energy conservation issues. I'm going to have to set up potential energy storage structures to resolve these. I'm surprised. I'd have expecte...

I suppose it depends what you're doing. Personally I use C# pretty much all the time now purely because I code on my own and it's so very, very much faster to develop an application when the language has built in UI, debugging, and so forth, and when you can check a box to do something instead of wr...

Any chance you could make an extractor for the music? (Worms 4 Mayhem\data\Audio\WXSoundBanks\PC\mu*.sab) I tried using the soundbank editor since they seem similar but it doesn't work, and the sound comes out a bit odd in an audio editor. If you just want to extract it have you tried getting somet...

Alright, that's not a bad excuse.

Alright, you know that website doesn't work, right?

Edit: Fine, it does work, but there's just no excuse for using Flash like that. Kill it and use HTML like normal people.

The wall with the machine, and a section of floor in front of it swivel round and you end up in London Below. I insert a coin into the identical vending machine on the other side of the wall which appeared to replace it. The only sign that you were ever hear is that the new section of wall is consid...

Now I would have thought cracking the file format the near-impossible, Herculean task, and writing an interface something of a doddle, especially since you have a decent viewer up and running. I'd have thought something like this would be a simple and intuitive thing to use and simple enough to code...

I think that's disputed somewhat, but I'm not going to argue the point. It depends on a lot of things that I don't know, having never written a console game or seen how Lemmings PS3 is coded.

Well, that's a tricky question because that number is mathematically undefined.

Well, no, they're dirt cheap and as common as muck. But I know quite a few people who either don't have PCs, or have old PS2 mice. I assumed it was rhetoric, but I alsoassumed you thought the answer would be "none", and it wasn't.

Worms 4 Tweaker

I know you can load up any of the files in the "Tweak" folder in Notepad, and play around with it to your heart's content, but this tool makes it simpler and easier, as well as offering a couple of handy features, like at-a-glance listings of what an element is set to in other containers a...
