Well this is what I get for not compulsively checking this forum every day anymore.
Good thing I do then ;)

Worms Battlegrounds, I think?

edit: Christ there are a lot of worms games! They haven't missed a year since 1995.

Re: The 100% Unofficial Thread

There was one of those newer Worms games* on PS+ this month and it made me a little nostalgic, so hello again, friends.

(*the one set in a museum. I didn't think it was very good, but I hear the newest one is great, maybe I'll pick it up on Switch...)

Re: New game by Doug TenNapel & Co.

The reason people dislike TenNapel isn't because he made a bad game on the N64.

We hate him because he is a hate spewing homophobe and sexist.

Re: Let's make... the first ever Dream17 videogame

How about an action-platformer with a metroid style upgrade system? There'll be a basic story about saving your girlfriend/family/pet frog from aliens/communists/whatever. The twist is you have the option to return to previous points in the narrative at any time and your character retains his memory...

Afaik nobody really runs it these days. SDA has a multi-segment run recorded in 2003, and there isn't even an entry for the game on their strategy wiki.

Well, SGDQ is almost over and I barely managed to catch any of it! Managed to get a couple of donation comments read out during Rayman Origins though! Handy Reddit page with links to all the archived runs: http://www.reddit.com/r/speedrun/comments/1j48zx/sgdq_english_vods_with_times/ Recommendations...

Pacific rim looks pretty good, gunna go see it a couple
of weeks. Love those half price Tuesdays at the local ODEON.

A film directed by Edgar Wright, however, is something I have to go see on release day!

Re: Back to back Speedrun marathons: ESA and SGDQ!

It's generally more interesting to see a glitched run than a 'natural route' simply because you get to see how far a game can be broken. Seeing a game you are intimately familiar with being beaten in ways not intended by the developers can be a real trip. The best example I can give is this 22 minut...

less than 2 hours until ESA Kicks off, and 3 hours until I have to go to work :P Obviously it's best to watch live, but if you miss something you wanted to see you can have a nose about in the past broadcasts tab. They generally split the stream every 12 hours or so and the The on-screen titles and ...

Back to back Speedrun marathons: ESA and SGDQ!

If you're anything like me, you might enjoy watching very skilled people play through popular videogames very quickly indeed , often utilizing stunning sequence breaks and insane glitches ! You might especially enjoy seeing runs performed live in front of an audience of thousands with entertaining c...

Re: Worms 3

Kotaku are also terrible for not doing any research into the game and posting an entire story around an assumption based on the game's title.

The game itself looks like a 2D worms revolution, which is interesting I guess?

Welp, there goes 20 quid. God damnit, now I actually own sonic 4 :o . In other news, I got a steam code for Bi...

It's set in the Elderscrolls universe for the same reason it completely rips both the format and visual style of Homestuck: because those are properties with massive pre-existing fanbases. He's quite open about it. He's also posted about how awesome it is to rip off an artist by paying them for thei...
