Wow, it's really been a year, huh? Well, I can't say I'm jealous of you Zero. I can, however, say I wish I had work. Yet again I've been promised x amount of work only to receive x/2. This of course means half the pay, meaning I can't make ends meet unless I literally buy nothing. I have a £2 a day ...

So, I've been putting my paint skills to work and I'm fairly pleased with the results.

I'm not entirely happy with the dragging leg, but it's as much as I'm doing for now :)

Comments appreciated...

God: Bloody Hell, they're at it again... go down and sort them out Jesus: Nah, they'll be alright. God: But look, they're sinning. Jesus: Damn it, pass me my mobile I'll Bluetooth them the commandments again. God: That thing never bloody works. Go and talk to them. Jesus: You saw what happened last ...

Erm, you guys do know that I didn't draw the bigger version, right?

Anyway, I gave him a cape and animated it... I think the character is from Beyblade or something, having done minimal research :P

Let me know what you think :)

Aha!

I finally got around to doing some pixel art!

It's a bit crap, but I've not done any since June/July, basically... I copied the larger image into a pixel version.

Tell me what you think :)

Like Mega Man.

It doesn't and wouldn't and never will work in 3D (apart from maybe the RPG style MM on GC, or is that too many acronyms?).

Mega Man X for teh win!

Next up is my star system generator. It's a fairly simple affair, allowing the user to control the number of stars, size of the stars, and speed of the stars. There's a nice paralax thing going on here, and the settings are optimised for full screen viewing. If you'd like to view it full screen, fee...

[ Vader's Random Flash Vault ]

Hey hey hey! I've been a very busy bunny recently. Not only with work, but I've also been constructing some flash fun for all! So, here is my first piece. It's a simple player for the storyboard I did last year. It also feature a save/load function which contravenes most standards, but it functions ...

Well, I got my 19" TFT and naturally it's native resolution is 1280x1024

So explain to me how pixel art is less efficient on a monitor which uses actual pixels to create the images, rather than a cathode ray projection, if you wouldn't mind.

According to Maths and Physiology that's physically impossible. 16.5 hours work + 1 hour travel + 8 hours sleep + 1 hour for eating and prepating meals = 26.5 hours > 1 day. This is why so many of their games are shit. They can't do maths. That's why so many of who's games are shit? I don't work fo...

At my work they are asking people to do double shifts with no extra pay - that's 9:30am - 2am. Oh, and naturally they expect you to be in at 9:30am the next day.

Of course, I declined.

The NDA is okay until I get home and have to give my girlfriend a vague reply when she says "how was your day?". I mean, I spent 8 hours a day at work, and I can talk to people about anything in work, so it's all good really. Yesterday I was playing an undisclosable game which wont be rele...

It means I have to play a game and try to find/regress bugs. I'm a functionality tester, meaning I test the functionality of a game in a large team of people.

Recently we did some focus testing of an undisclosable game from an undisclosable company on an undisclosable platform - exciting, no?!

I think it's a good thing. By out-sourcing they eliminate the need for a developer to spend money on QA staff and equipment and management. This in turn allows the developer to spend more on the games the are making. There are a huge number of staff at Babel, which highlights the fact that the emplo...
