Re: What are you dream1❼ng?

This morning I dreamt about a new TV show starring Hugh Laurie. For some stupid reason it was called The Bachelor. I'm not sure if his role was as a doctor or a detective, but the episode was about a nanny/maid business. One of the maids was getting up to as much trouble as possible. Slashing clothe...

Re: The 100% Unofficial Thread

That's pretty hilarious, although I'm not sure exactly how it adheres to the levels of abstraction it claims past about the 2nd one.

Re: What are you dream1❼ng?

Apart from the usual dreams about grocery shopping and concerts, Last night I dreamt I was planning to buy a little house, which is ridiculous for two reasons: the housing market is insanely overpriced here, and I much prefer living in an apartment anyway. I was observing the intersections at eithe...

Re: Sooo is this place dead again?

those new-fangled IM Chat systems What kind of things are you referring to? I thought instant messaging pretty much died with MSN Messenger. Sure, Facebook has it and you can interact in realtime with friends, but I reckon the reason it's been so successful is that it's primarily asynchronous. Peop...

Re: Negative Events and Occurrences 3.0

Yeah, my health has been quite an interconnected string of 'developments'. There was a recent article suggesting migraines are related to processing oxygen and free radicals. That'd make huge amounts of sense if the slight hole in my heart was affecting the level of oxygen in various blood vessels. ...

This thread needs to get active Because I need somewhere to chat about movies. The World's End is soooooooo good. Digging up the suitable first reply to this topic. Hopefully I don't make this thread too topical by continuing the theme. I've been tackling my movies-to-see list which had over 100 fi...

Yikes. So you've never actually had arrhythmia yet, at least? Also, welcome to the club of people with foreign devices in their chest! I've got a septal occluder inside my heart. It cured the migraines I was having and reduces my chance of a stroke, but I think the course of aspirin sent my allergie...

Re: Sooo is this place dead again?

Should make a twitter bot that starts annoying you all when the forum has been dead for a while to get people to come back and post. Just linked this thread on the FB group, maybe that'll work. 8-) It's not exactly life that caught up with me, but rather contributing to a website and tackling my mo...

Facing up, with the top sheet/quilt/whatever pulled up to my chin. Someone else I chatted to described it as an unknown material, but the hardness is the weird part. Maybe it's a sort of sensitivity thing, where if you're feeling ill or weak then the sheet seems unexpectedly stronger by comparison. ...

Does anyone else ever get that unsettling feverish thing in bed where the sheet/blanket feels like hard plastic against your chin?

Re: Negative Events and Occurrences 3.0

The world is a mucked up place and the human body is a freaky thing. I have err, experience in post-traumatic stress, though I think it only applies to things I perceive as being my fault. The best way to get over past mistakes is to make new ones. Can't say I could relate to being traumatised by a ...

The 4-dimensional thing was already proven by key tests such as the degree to which starlight bends around the sun. It sounds more like another step towards understanding gravity specifically, which is even better methinks! Also, this is insane: "The black holes we discovered were orbiting arou...

I got The Mediator too, INFP-A, but very close to being INFJ. I usually thought of myself as INTJ, but I can accept the feeling side of things. I wouldn't directly call myself caring, but I like to maintain tactfulness and harmony. My political views certainly lean towards the 'social conscience' wa...

This is impressively complex! Gotta love the 100% Off Topic book by Various. After Bloopy disappeared, I spotted a sheep from up on the roof a couple of times.

Was wondering how to backspace and enter a different name, but just found that Insert works.

Tonight I managed to say something funny in real time instead of just thinking of it later, quite unusual. 8-)
