Re: The Dream17 Vending Machine

The hairs on the back of your neck stand up as a paradox ripples through space-time. Empires rise and fall. The planet's axial tilt shifts imperceptibly. The mass of the average domesticated corgi decreases by 0.1 grams. The star of a far-off galaxy finally collapses into a black hole, the entire fo...

You receive a box. Inside another box. Inside yet another box. You spend the rest of the week occupied with these boxes.

I insert a box-- err, I mean coin.

You receive Soldat version 1.3. You are ecstatic until you play it, upon which you feel cheated and betrayed. You slip into a depression for the rest of the day.

I insert a human ear.

You receive apathy. Exactly how you know this is uncertain, but you are distinctly aware of the machine emanating a large amount of apathy. This leads to a scientific breakthrough in AI subroutines. The vending machine becomes a local celebrity, and you merely get a job as its lowly assistant. You v...

D&D

It's probably just another of my boredom phases, but I'm considering giving this game a shot, since I never really have. Thing is, I don't really know anybody I can play it with in person, so I was wondering if there are any good online equivalents. And I don't mean the official D&D Online game ...

Most people seem to dislike the single player, but thoroughly enjoy the multiplayer.

That's the one thing I'd dread about being a QA tester -- testing games I couldn't stand playing.

You get a duplication device which, following popular speculation, is also capable of duplicating currency. Unfortunately, that was your last coin. You return home where you duplicate all of your paper cash, your home entertainment system, your collection of rare 1938 baseball cards, and your wife. ...

Nope, and I've tried several times too. I do have a Zsnes movie that apparently shows you exactly how to get into it, but it's in one of the old movie formats that Zsnes no longer seems to recognize.

QA = Quality Assurance. Not sure exactly what it entails, though.

That reminds me, Master Hand & Crazy Hand were a boss in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Fun game, that. Pity I never had an opportunity to try out the multiplayer.

As far as I'm concerned, no sequel or spinoff of the Wario Land series can ever top Wario Land 3. That game was pure brilliance.

Apparently they're working on a version of Super Smash Bros for the DS, as well... Not confirmed, but it is a pretty widespread rumor ever since the poll on Nintendo asking what kind of games you'd want to play online included Smash Bros. and Mario Party. Of course, that could just be indicating th...

I've got all the games now except for Twisted, and I can honestly say the original is the best so far -- but Twisted could come close to topping it, from what I've seen. Problem is, though, I've got my sights set on San Andreas for PC now.

I never disliked Waluigi, I only disliked his name at first. There's actually a rather interesting story behind that. Ever noticed what the inverted L on his hat looks like? A lowercase "R". For all reasonable means, they'd have called him "Ruigi" -- except since there's no diffe...

I hear Kid Icarus almost got into SSBM as a playable character, but frankly I don't like him enough to care if he gets in this one or not. Wario NEEDS to be in (preferably with the suit he uses for the Wario Ware games as one of the alternate outfits). I mean, they used Dr. Mario alongside regular M...

We have Lego Star Wars for the PS2 now. Well, that and Warioworld. Both are getting played rather much. Wario World for the PS2? You'll have to introduce me to that sometime. Back on topic, I'd have tried the Lego Star Wars demo when it first came out (in fact, I did download and install it), but o...
