I like it alot, I mean....for a demo. Change the resolution of the screen on the start up thing Vader to the lowest resolution. It moves much faster. Just lower qulity. Yeah.
I think this game will be awesome and I might buy it. Let's just pray they dont screw up worm net.

I bet it sucks. I mean, it might be better than Worms3, much better even, but I doubt very much it'll be as good as Worms Armageddon wormnet (which operated near-perfectly)Slick wrote:Let's just pray they dont screw up worm net.

Just been playing the demo now, and I really liked it. Much smoother than Worms3. I remember the Worms3 demo and not liking it that much... but this is different. I definitely enjoyed playing this one. I like the teleport pad concept, and I love the sentry gun!
I'm not sure if I'll buy it yet though. I want to wait for the multiplayer demo, and I'm going to wait for opinions. Chances are I'll let the price fall before picking it up (unless it's on discount on play.com)

If your worm is standing on a teleport pad when its turn starts the worm is automatically teleported to the other end of the "wormhole" (oh man thats funny).
This can be achieved by standing on a pad and not moving before your turn ends.

Thanks for putting Worms Tournaments on the downloads site. So far I'm very impressed, I look forward to the online demo!

happend to an AI worm after it was hit by a sentry gun, unfortunatly it knocks the teleporter out of use for the next few goesVader wrote:*puts QA hat on*

I can almost see Worms 4 attracting the nickname "Revenge of the Sith". After the loss of the Blowtorch from Worms 3D and the seeming end of the Darkside era, W4M has, with the Sentry Gun, Bubble Trouble and Tail Nail, heralded a new era of Darksiding. I'm sure K^2 will be most pleased.
And of course, wherever you get Darksiders, you'll need people to counter their strategies and play them at their own game! *rubs hands gleefully*

The Sentry Gun is very neat. Sniper+Sentry combo does arround 90 points of dammage, I believe. One Sentry Gun is hardly enough to really hold the ground, though. They are easy enough to trick if you have some comver, and they don't have a whole lot of health, so they can be taken out in a couple of turns with no problems. I'm sure that 2 or 3 of these on the right positions, though, can really tip the scale.
As for Bubble Trouble, I'm not entirely sure how usefull it really is. Someone can just walk into the bubble and drop a stick of dinomite, right? Good cover from strikes and BnGers, though.

I still find the jetpack considerably difficult to use, though. See my whiney thread on the T17 forum: http://forum.team17.com/showthread.php?t=24255

It looks and feels like a Loony Tunes cartoon.
Hence all the red, orange and yellow circles in the trailers, I guess .
