Mobile Worms

Post by KennyTornado » Tue Aug 29, 2006 12:43 am

I've downloaded the most recent Worms game on my new mobile a month ago, but it looked different from the screenshots.

Instead of the funky-looking options screen, I get a rather plain options screen, which contains: SINGLE PLAYER, MULTI-PLAYER, ABOUT and INSTRUCTIONS.

When I go into either SINGLE PLAYER or MULTI-PLAYER, you always have 2 teams of 3, on randomly generated brick-landscapes.

There's not much weaponry either. You only have bazookas, grenades, cluster bombs, fire punches and shotgun. Only the grenade and the cluster bomb can do damage to the landscapes.

Does this Worms game depend on what type of phone you have? :?

You can really only expect so much from a mobile phone game... :P

Yes, sometimes games may vary depending on your mobile. And don't forget there's two Worms Mobile games, one terribly worse than the other:

I even had the most recent Worms game on my old mobile, and I got it from the W:OW site. Pity it had all the things mentioned in the first post. :(

I am getting used to it, and it does have that cool title screen (the worm and the Arctic scenery).

Anyway, on my old phone, it was rather slow, and the AI didn't throw their grenades very far. With my current phone, it's a lot faster, and the AI are able to throw the grenades very far. :)

It's the only Worms game I can play whilst I'm on my breaks or at lunch at college. It's not all doom and gloom. :)

EDIT: Another thing, I never played the first Worms game at all. I never even downloaded it since it's unavailable now, but it doesn't matter.
