Well, I got my 19" TFT and naturally it's native resolution is 1280x1024

So explain to me how pixel art is less efficient on a monitor which uses actual pixels to create the images, rather than a cathode ray projection, if you wouldn't mind.

Aha!

I finally got around to doing some pixel art!

It's a bit crap, but I've not done any since June/July, basically... I copied the larger image into a pixel version.

Tell me what you think :)

Erm, you guys do know that I didn't draw the bigger version, right?

Anyway, I gave him a cape and animated it... I think the character is from Beyblade or something, having done minimal research :P

Let me know what you think :)

So, I've been putting my paint skills to work and I'm fairly pleased with the results.

I'm not entirely happy with the dragging leg, but it's as much as I'm doing for now :)

Comments appreciated...

It's very good, but I can't help thinking he looks sort of like he's demanding an explanation about this report he's just recieved.

Imagine a desk in front of him, with papers just under his finger.

Maybe it's just me. I'm certainly odd.

It's very snazzy, and very well shaded. His left (our right) arm looks a bit odd, though. I've been drawing a lot of zombies lately, and I tend to do the same thing. The trick is trying to make them look limp, but hostile.

Well, everyone knows zombies spend most of their time moaning...

Been ages since I did some pixel art.

Oh well, here's my favourite piece:

Hooray! My Dad bought Pro-Motion for me. It's very snazzy, very DeluxePaint.

Sorry I been away a long time. Ain't been well for a while (mental and physical health issues I won't go into). Hopefully being moved soon into a quiet flat where maybe finally I can get some sleep...

I been doodling some Superfrog ideas. I dunno why. Maybe remake or whatever though I dunno if Team 17 would approve or not. But hey I'd rather they quit doing Worms for even a bit and bring back some of their real classics...

There is a Superfrog fan-remake in the works. Moxy is using the original graphics at the moment (possibly as placeholders) so he may be interested in some all-new graphics. Check that thread out, post a reply, maybe email Moxy and see what his plans are.

Well ideally I prefer working on stuff by my own except for music (which I have a talented musician capable of many video game system formats).

I might just do a simple lil 1 level thing sometime just to see how it goes.
