Disappointing.

Most people seem to dislike the single player, but thoroughly enjoy the multiplayer.

Now that I've played it a bit more, I've grown rather fond of it. The multiplayer is enjoyable, yes. The Single Player "Stock" screen which, at first, annoyed the Hell out of me, has proven to be fairly useful. It's not 'alf bad, that.

The Bomberman franchise ran out some time ago.

Bomber Man

Post by Jonah » Sun Jan 08, 2006 2:46 pm

I've always found Bomber Man to be disappointing on 1 Player mode, the main attraction has always been multiplayer mode. However, a new WI-FI version of the game is on the cards for DS apparently. Just out of interest, what do people think the best Bomber Man game is anyway?

I really enjoyed Bomberman on the PSone (a faithful remake of the original using pre-rendered 3D graphics, and even includes a "Classic" mode featuring the original Single Player game from the NES) but it got absolutely panned by the gaming media. Second to that, I think the best version of Bomberman is probably Super Bomberman 5 Gold, as it's a nice retrospective of the previous 4 Bomberman games (although that said, Bomberman hasn't looked decent since Super Bomberman 2).

The only version I got is Atomic Bomberman for PC, and I quite enjoy it.

The version I played the most must be DynaBlaster on the Amiga. I didn't have the privilege of owning a Super Nintendo sadly.
