This is where I would cheer with delight, if the chances of me being able to watch whatever channel it'll be on weren't so dim.

Before you get too excited, bear in mind that nothing's been announced officially. While Billy West's post is a good indication that this will happen, we'd better wait and see first.

If it turns out that it's true, though, then Hurrah! :D

Indeed - news like this is definitely worth getting excited about, especially considering it's coming straight from... well, not the horses mouth, but certainly from another horse in the same stable.

"I'm getting different bits of info that say this news may not be the
case. There IS something up Futurama project wise but but it might be the
DVD's still. It's hard to keep up with things--but I'll try to do better.

Sorry,
Billy"

See, this is why you shouldn't have got your hopes up. :(

Apparently Comedy Central will be funding Futurama's future now.

Yes, we only have to wait two years for Cartoon Network's rights to expire, then another year for a British channel to decide "let's show Futurama". And in my case another year for the DVDs because it's so difficult to remember to watch Futurama for some reason.

Or use Amazon.com and lose a year's earnings on importing it.
