It's not so much a "plateau" but we're stuck waiting for the consoles to catch up. My old PC still runs all the latest games at 1080p without issues:Akuryou13 wrote:I love how gaming computers have plateau'd to the point that your rig isn't any better than the one I sold a year ago (which was most recently upgraded a year before THAT)MtlAngelus wrote:Built myself a gaming rig.

So... yeah, I can play real games now.

And now I've been migraine-free for a whole month! It's not because I've been sleeping better, and not because of the aspirin prescription given I had 3 migraines in the first 3 weeks of that. So I can tentatively say the operation has fixed something.Bloopy wrote:and might help my migraines as well.

Re: Positive Events and Occurrences 3.0
So this weekend I moved out all my stuff from my apartment, but I won't move into my new apartment until in three weeks time. Until then I'm living in my friend's and his roommates living room, and most of my stuff is stored away at my parent's house. So it's basically a long LAN party (i.e Dota 2 Powerhouse) but with work on weekdays, should be quite alright. I also got the TV hooked up to my computer as a second monitor when I want to play emulators or watch stuff, a complete home invasion in other words.

Clinched my new job today. Gonna be a general IT guy for a local company, doing various things ranging from html/php code monkeying to database handling to whatever else might need to be done.
Great success.

All my Last.fm scrobbles are now backed up on Libre.fm. The tricky part will be scrobbling to Libre.fm from work, due to all the proxy voodoo.
Actually I think I found out about Last.fm in OD originally. So, thanks Wormers!

OK all this computer wacky wocky business should be over soon. My computer never got fixed, and instead I'm getting a hand-me-down one soon.
Re: Positive Events and Occurrences 3.0
Arrrr, we can't let the negative events win all the time. My positive event is that I'm currently making good progress on my debut full-length album of horrible kitchen utensil noise (which I started in 2008). I just finished this track, and the plan is just 3 more tracks to go. I'm planning to do a cover of a well-known metal band, and I'm saving that until last since it'll probably be one of the most ambitious and difficult things I've ever attempted.

My relatively new Logitech mouse started turning single clicks into double clicks, so it's put me off ever buying one of their products again. I should see if I can do anything to fix it sometime.Zeor wrote:Oh, I think I'm gonna enjoy this.
(Although to be fair, a lot of other mouse brands may use exactly the same part)

Weird, I've never had a Logitech mouse I didn't like. And I think this is my favorite one.
Re: Positive Events and Occurrences 3.0
I bought a Sensei Raw a while back and I love it. Much prefer it over my old favorites the Logitech MX500 series. It's very light and smooth but doesn't feel flimsy. The Raw also has a nice rubber surface. I still use a MX518 at work (which is what everybody gets), but when that breaks I will probably replace it with something else since I don't think it's that good for my wrist. I also got a Microsoft Sidewinder S4 keyboard which I liked so much I got one for work too, instead of the flimsy standard issue keyboards.
Re: Positive Events and Occurrences 3.0
Speaking of keyboards, does anyone have a mechanical keyboard? I've been curious about those. Seems like something I should have, but they're not whatsoever cheap.
