Wormers we've lost contact with

Post by worMatty » Mon Jun 10, 2013 1:45 pm

Hi, guys.

There are some names I remember fondly and wonder about what happened to them. It would be nice to say hello to them again, if only to see what they're up to these days. So here's a list of the people I can recall. Please fill in any missing details, and tell us who you miss, too. I'll also provide a bit of info. about what some of them are up to, if I know.
  • James/Angel/Firebird from Bungle's Paintbrush clan. He also had a handle as a medic in Team Fortress Classic.
  • Lord Electro of WormsCenter.
  • Chris 'Cardeese/Pyro' King/Philips.
  • Gareth 'GlowWurm/Bongwater' Rees.
  • Ian 'TestZero'
  • Tom 'Mort'
  • P.Paul.
  • Scott 'Octavius' of The Allotment
  • Hamzah 'Otorp' Moin - Now a professional comedian!
Since the following guys were part of the community's roots and passed out earlier than us, I think it's unfair to bug them but it's important to remember them:
  • Dale 'Sniper/Nutter' Hawthorn.
  • Jon Skeet
  • Patrick 'TEB' Tehtrinan.
  • Ross 'KilJaeden' Currier.
Massive apologies for any glaring misspellings of surnames and the like. I'll post more if I remember them.

I was wondering where Nutter's been too. I mean, he had a custom of a semi-yearly visit for a while there. I wonder what he'd think about the forum closing now.

Remember when I first joined and I had some weird little clingy complex about him? I may never fully understand the creature I call my past self.

I remember TestZero too, but I think everybody else here escapes me.

IIRC, there's a thread in OD that summons Nutter when you post on it.

Guh. Anyway yeah I've invoked the terrible rites needed to attempt to summon Nutter, so we'll see how that goes.

I don't know if he, or any of these guys for that matter, know at all about Dream17, btw. The possible last bridge to them is about to go down.

e: Well Nutter does now.

NZkiwi is the main one I can think of.

Other names that come to my mind didn't necessarily use the T17 forum a lot (if at all), but I had good times with fNOrd, Ass9, Rumble, Tjerp, a|2cane, Garg0yle, Scribe, shamballa and more. I never really was one for remembering real names, if I even asked in the first place.

I came to the T17 Forum bit later, but let's see the people I personally remember in particular that I don't know how to contact anymore:

Psyke o_O. He was cool. And extremely unpopular at the same time. I never knew why.
DarthDarky and BuffaloKid. They were two of my favourite W4-era forumers.
HotGravy, Basti@n, Agent_Luke. They weren't exactly "great forumers" at the time, but they were certainly memorable! It'd be nice to see how they changed.
Shockdude, Farazparsa and Gardy Loo.
Fhqwqugads, or whatever. He got himself banned, didn't he?

And, of course, Spadge.

There's other names too, like Jerms and Jag, that stick out... but I only have a vague memory of them anymore. Welp.

Psyke uploaded a bunch of photos of his Transformers and Warhammer 40k toy collection to his Furaffinity account, his room was filled, and I do mean FILLED with them. He just bought a bajillion of them in one burst.

Then he ran out of money, was unable to pay his rent and started begging for money on MSN. I gave him some, asking him to draw me something in return.

He didn't. Instead, he blocked me everywhere.

Lol, furries.

Charming chap, he sounds like.

Dare I suggest the controversial Cheech?

Mostly because of the comprehensive, all-permeating, complete objective horribility as a person.

Yeah, he calls himself technoguyx now, spoke to him about 2011 when he was a member of an old forum I owned. Not spoke to him since though, but IIRC he goes on Scratch a bit too.

I was reading some old threads and remembered about Bucket (forgot to check if his threads were still on the forum before it closed. D'oh!).
Where'd that guy go?

I remember many of these guys. Good times. Also, lol Creationists.

I remember some rather more infamous ones - T.Magdi and Fwd. Adm. (IIRC).

Another name(s):
  • SargeMcCluck - Alex, IIRC?
  • Joseph 'BetongAsna'
  • Ned 'Wormsbloke' Kelly
Again, don't quote me on the names.

The proper Star Worms might be about somewhere.

I think this is his old account: http://dream17.abime.net/forum/memberlis ... rofile&u=6
If the e-mail still works someone can drop him a line.

Y'know, I just realized K^2 could come back if he wanted.

Also, SomePerson. I think I talked with him on MSN once or twice.

Betong Asna is on Steam, but apparently hasn't been online in 25 days.
