So what's up with that? It's not the beta section of the forum which I believed was the only part not taken down yet. It's sort of the same forum, but when I log in to the beta section it doesn't automatically log me in to the normal section?
WIP I'd say. They're definitely using it for the next beta.

beta.team17.com is the actual address they plan to be using, I believe.

They've been progressively cutting sections from it, though.

Mind you, I'm not sure why they didn't just delete everything. All the posts and such are still there, you just can't access the threads they're in.

they hided all of the subforums, it is still the same forum. however on the sub-subforums of "Older games" there is no redirect yet (except WWP threads). so you can guess the link to WA subforum.
though they are all closed from posting.

12 years is not a bad run. I was there or thereabouts for nearly 11 of them. I didn't really participate in the fan art side of things, but Dream17 ought to make a suitable home for it. It reminds me that time is marching on and I should get on with some of the things I've been procrastinating on. ;)

If the T17 forum was kept online as an archive, I'd see it as a place to dip in for occasional knowledge rather than some kind of grotesque shrine. The Internet Archive doesn't do a great job of archiving forums.

Well what the heck...
:/
I missed a lot of things that happened up to them closing it. Wish I had some time to do one last hurrah with Splapp flooding the forum with factual information about ducks. I guess taking a more focused approch towards fans makes 'some' sense but you don't really have the feeling of being part of a community that way. That's a huge step back if you ask me.
I figured most of the veterans would retreat to here and I was right. Hope you all stick around too! I always enjoyed coming back to the forum to see how things and people were.

Ill hop around here for a bit.
Hey! I'm still "beef stew" :D

Haha, I remember that. I tried to contribute by posting the definition of the verb "duck." Was that clever? You decide.

Nice to see you again Slick. :) Hopefully more old members will pop out of the woodwork. Seems kinda hard to spread the message when everyone apparently decided to change e-mail since 2007. :P
