It's a bit too early to call it such a great community, but it certainly shows promise. [ugly emoticon]

The Team17 forum is firmly in the grip of the next generation - gibbering idiots armed with MS Paint and acronyms.

That'll learn 'em!

I'm holding out for the Voyager of the Team17 forum.

We can get stranded somewhere and the FanArt mob can try to assimilate us every so often, and I can marry a Klingon.

I see K^2 as the Doctor. I don't really know why.

Although my favourites always involve the Doctor a lot.

The Doctor was probably the quintessential funny character in all of the ST shows... they knew how to do a funny episode with the Doctor, rather than an episode involving horny Vulcan women (mind you, nothing wrong with that).

Hmmm... the entire FanArt situation... I wasn't around for a while, so I'm not aware of the full horror of that, but upon my return, I was directed to the FanArt forum by Paul.Power, where I did indeed see some truly horrendous pictures. And I see that a few of the worst artists didn't take to criticism too well, either.

*sigh* This is what happens when young kids discover MS Paint. The power to produce awful, unfunny and generally crap images goes to their head...

Did they ever kick the doctor off the ship?

Actually, there's something confusing about this. As far as I know, The Doctor made it back to Earth with the ship and eventually married Seven of Nine, but, in one episode, the Doctor's mobile emmiter became a relic in an alien museum on a planet than had an (bad) encounter with Voyager, and the emitter became active decades after this.

Then the Doctor got a shuttle at the end of the episode and headed for Earth to see if Voyager made it. Maybe there was a later episode i missed in which Voyager finds the Doctor.

The sad thing is about that is that some people encourage it.

I'm here now and will do some fanart, not saying its any better that the crap that people over there post, but I try to make it funny to make up for that. Also I got Splapp-me-do to join. Next time I see HuntaKilla i'll invite her aswell. As for other awesome artist, I just don't know.

Just give us contests...thats all I live for.
Yes, fanartist of the month status and everything. That would rule and draw other good artists here.
If you can read this....you're not blind.

That was the Doctor's Back-Up Program, I believe - a copy of the Doctor for Back-Up purpoises, stolen from Voyager during a conflict with a couple of planets. Presumably Doctor.BAK found his way back to Earth some decadesx later, and possibly met up with his original counterpart. I presume they went for a drink or something.

But anyway.
