Hmm... a non-profit fangame isn't allowed? That's curious considering that Team17 have always allowed worms fangames.

Maybe Team17 are clamping down on fangames...or maybe....

Maybe SuperFrog is returning after all (which would explain why they wouldn't want any fangames made at the current time).

I think officially, they have to deny this sort of stuff. But if someone were just making a game like this for fun, such as the Star Worms games or the Alien Breed projects, Team17 tolerate it.

That said, looking at the company website, they apparently do release games for profit - presumably, they intended to do the same for their SuperFrog title...

I just got an email from them, went to their site and saw that it had been pulled.

And now my crazy theory has some merit. Could the frog be about to leap back onto computer screens? Only time will tell

There will be 3 PSP titles. Ones will be Worms. It is almost official. The other is Lemings. That is official. Superfrog would make sense for the third one. Unfortunately, and I hate to even think that, so would Blast.
None of my projects (Minus One converter, W3D/W4 Map Viewer, and WMapEditor) are endorsed, supported or otherwise affiliated with Dream17. I just find Dream17 forums to be a nice place to share and discuss my work with others.

I liked Worms Blast, and would probably welcome a PSP/DS port, but not if it stands in the way of SuperFrog making a comeback.

I think Blast almost belongs on handhelds.

Never played the full version. The demo was pretty good fun, but there was no way to gague how well you did or even who won, so it was fundamentally dissatisfying.

The GBA version was flawed on various levels. The exclusion of things in Multiplayer mode like a Score, Blast Mode, and neglecting to include fish but still including the bait as a collectable item made it one of the most evil ports I have played in a loooong time.

the website is back up, so he must've worked something out with team17.

Looking at the shots, maybe Nintendo want a crack at him too.

Indeed. Looks very much like Mario 64 with a superfrog model.

Actually, if you look at the title logo in the page, it says Super-Lizzy, rather than Super-Frog.
What's up with that?

For legal reasons, they are continuing the project with a different character. Looks like it's going to be a Mario64 rip-off instead.

It was anyway, only it had a better character with SF.

Looks more like a Mario64 clone to me.
