Guess the Game Music
ok, to spruce things up around here, here's the first forum game. the concept is pretty simple: someone posts a music from some game, and ppl have to guess from what game it's from. simple, no?
Rules
- Formats accepted: MID, MOD, IT, S3M. this is because they're small, easy to download, easy to find, easy to play and mostly used on old/classic games.
- When posting the tune, please provide some sort of hint. The game developer, the music artist, the first letter of the game name, anything, just as long as it helps.
- You can either attach the music or post a link to it (specially if it exceeds the attachment limit), as long as the link works and it's a direct link to the file, not some download page or something.
- Whenever someone guesses the music's origin, you let them know and they get to post the next one.
- Conversions (eg. Digital Audio to MOD/MID) are accepted, as long as they're good conversions and don't differ much from the original, so it's still easy to figure out the origin. Remixes too, if the same rules apply.
- Make sure your music doesn't contain the game name somewhere (or else it'll be too easy). If it does, my trick is to use a hex editor to replace it with spaces.
- If a lot of time passes and people don't guess the music, feel free to post more hints or even a different music, as long as you don't let this die.
Websites
- Mirsoft.info
- Videogame Music Archive
- Quest Studios
or just search on google, old game music is very easy to find. usually.
Players
- Winamp
- Modplug Player
- Media Player Classic
Ok, here's a little tune to start you off.
Tip: The game was published by 3D Realms.

As Braininator appears to be some kind of FOrum Werewolf, only visiting during Full moons, I suggest someone else pitch in some videogame music.
