Damn , I hate Steam because it just takes up so much of the precious RAM and HAS to be running when you are playing the games. It has REALLY annoying D.R.M., too

[at]Dudemaster, if Steam is taking all of your RAM, you're either doing it wrong of you've only got 64MB of RAM, I've never seen steam use up more than 50MB of RAM on XP or Vista (Can't vouch for Win7).

Securom and Tages are annoying forms DRM, Steam isn't annoying because it actually works, Securom has been known to not recognise the official DVD/CD in any drive(FEAR had this problem), tages has been known to not even allow the game to start by crashing while it verifies if your DVD/CD is real(Stalker Clear Sky did this a few times).
