The Team17 Softography Says...
"Encounter spectacular arcade action as you take on the might of a terrifying Alien Army that has infested a Federation Research Station.

Featuring 12 massive challenging levels with full screen graphics, 32 colours, smooth-scrolling action and simultaneous 2 player option."

Dream17 says...
The Alien Breed series remains one of Team17's most popular franchises to date. The gameplay of the original is very dated now and pales in comparison with the later games in the series - particularly Tower Assault - but it is still one of Team17's best titles.

The Amiga version of the game was made in 1991 but the PC floppy version - a port created by East Point Software - was released in 1993 and featured improved graphics matching those seen in Tower Assault. Even so, the Amiga version is widely considered to be the better of the two.

I hear there's rumours - nothing yet confirmed - about Alien Breed being remade... That would be sweet.
