X2 is not fully compatible with the PlayStation2 console, which garbles text up for some reason. It runs fine on all models of the original PlayStation and the PSone, as well as through PC PSone emulators such as Bleem! and ePSXe.

Dream17 reader Lemonhead was kind enough to send us archived versions of the X2 homepage throughout its various incarnations, and we've re-hosted these sites here for your benefit. Unfortunately there are some minor glitches with the sites (mostly down to the occasional missing file) but they are more or less as they were in 1995/96.
