Team17's superb horizontally-scrolling shoot 'em up won awards for its ingenuity and originality, and totally refreshed the genre (for the Amiga at least!). Other shoot 'em ups popped up but none really took the crown away from this game. One of Team17's best titles, and one of the reasons we started this website in the first place.

One of my favorite shot'em up on Amiga! Even better than Xenon II.

original? Well, this is gradius for the amiga! Team 17 may not be the creator of the most original games on the amiga, but they sure knew how to make a game.
