When Acclaim acquired the rights to publish Worms 3D in the States, the release of the XBox version was pushed back so that Team17 could include Live! functionality - this is the Special Edition. Unfortunately, not too long after publishing the PC, PS2 and GameCube versions of the game, Acclaim went bankrupt - leaving Worms3D Special Edition without a Publisher. Finally though, it looks like Sega US will be bringing the XBox version to America's shores, but with Worms 4: Mayhem just around the corner, is it too little too late...?
