Worms Patches updated
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 25/08/06 8:48pm CEST
A whole new set of patches for various games in the
Worms series have been uploaded onto the site. For reasons of space and bandwidth, we've stuck to the UK and American version English language patches, so apologies to our continental visitors. Hopefully this is an area we can cover in the future.
We have added patches for
Worms2,
Worms World Party,
Worms 3D, and
Worms 4: Mayhem. We already have all of the up-to-date patches for
Worms Armageddon, and there aren't any official patches for
Worms Forts, so we're covered.

Musically inclined?
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 24/08/06 6:11pm CEST
Pooka's still trying to collate arrangements and remixes of music from Team17's cult classic platformer, Superfrog. I personally am particularly interested in hearing a halfway decent version of the World 1.
Special mention goes to Dream17 Forum-goer
bucky o'hare, who has done some superb work creating "NESified" versions of Superfrog themes. Superb stuff, which you can hear by checking out
this forum post.

Forum registration requirements changed
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 21/08/06 3:02pm CEST
Admin authorisation for new forum registrations has been re-implemented following a string of Spam registrations which I've had to spend my break at work tidying up.
I've also banned a whole load of email address domains including [at]hotmail.com - I know Hotmail is a commonly used freemail provider but the sheer number of spammers signing up using Hotmail accounts has forced my hand.

RealVG launching 1st September
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 15/08/06 6:18pm CEST
A new videogames review and editorial website helmed by some of the Dream17 Staff as well as plenty of other people will be launching on September 1st. The new site,
RealVG, is aimed at giving honest, unbiased reviews and opinions of the Videogames Industry. We're not afraid to speak our minds, and we're not going to sit in the pockets of any developers, publishers or other organisations. Curious? Read the
RealVG Mission Statement.

Oh, go on - Advertise with Dream17 for FREE!
Posted in Archived by Squirminator2k at 11/08/06 5:06pm CEST
I have decided to open up a few advertising slots which are now available
for free to anyone who wants to advertise. The spots are on a fortnightly basis only, and there are minimum requirements to qualify for a free ad spot:
- Firstly and foremostly, no adult material. If you're hoping to get some free advertising for your porn site, you're wasting your time.
- Your website must ideally be either computer & video game related, or somehow relating to the Amiga, although we will make considerations for websites in other areas.
- No illegitimate emulation sites. Websites for emulators are fine but requests from any website providing ROMs without authorisation will be deleted. If you are authorised, like us, then it's not a problem.
- We would appreciate a returning link to Dream17 before we place your ad up.
- And ultimately, we at Dream17 reserve the right to deny or revoke advertising on the website to anyone who requests it at any given time without notice.
There aren't going to be many slots available, so you'd better put your request in
right now!
